Based in the remote community of Arviat, your accommodation provides a warm and comfortable base for each day’s adventure. Set out in our rugged Land Rover Defender with expert guides, venturing into the Arctic wilderness in search of polar bears, Arctic foxes, and other captivating wildlife.

This is a completely private experience — we host only one party at a time. Whether you’re traveling solo or as part of a group, the trip is yours alone.

There is no single supplement, even if you’re the only guest that week.

Itinerary

Arrive in Arviat where you will be met by our team who will transfer you to your accomodation. There will be time to settle in before we have a briefing about the week ahead.
During these days, we’ll embark on daily guided excursions across the tundra in search of polar bears and other iconic Arctic wildlife, such as Arctic foxes, ptarmigan, and possibly even snowy owls. Because each expedition is entirely private and single-party, our outings are designed around your specific interests—whether you're focused on wildlife photography, simply observing the animals in their natural habitat, or exploring the unique Arctic environment at your own pace.
Each day’s route and duration are flexible, shaped by weather conditions, recent wildlife sightings, and your personal goals. This allows us to make the most of every opportunity the landscape offers, ensuring a truly tailored and immersive experience.
After a full day in the field, we’ll return to the comfort of our accommodation for a warm, hearty dinner and time to relax. For those eager to extend the magic into the night, and if the skies are clear, we’ll keep an eye out for displays of the northern lights—offering unforgettable chances to witness and photograph the aurora borealis dancing over the Arctic horizon.
After breakfast we will have time for one last drive on the tundra looking for wildlife. We will head back for a late lunch before we transfer you to the airport for your flight back to Winnipeg.

Deposit: 15% due at time of booking
Includes: All meals, guiding, transport, accommodation and field logistics once you arrive in Arviat.
Excludes: Flights to and from Arviat, personal expenses and all sundry items.

Travel Information

Most guests travel internationally to Winnipeg, Manitoba - the main hub for onward travel to Arviat. Depending on your arrival time, you may need to overnight at the airport hotel before flying north.
From Winnipeg, you’ll take a Calm Air flight to Arviat, where your Arctic adventure truly begins.
While many operators count hotel nights in Winnipeg as part of their expedition length, we believe your experience starts the moment you step onto the tundra. That’s why our 8 day trips are focused entirely on your time in Arviat - immersed in the land, the wildlife and the experience you came for.
