MEET SCOTT
Scott has spent over 25 years immersed in the Arctic’s northern communities, and as a result he brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team. His journey spans extensive polar bear encounters, guiding photographic expeditions and leading extreme adventures in rugged environments. Scott’s passion for the local people and their culture has earned him the embrace of many who call these Arctic landscapes home.
As an accomplished photographer, Scott captures the essence of the Arctic with finesse. His photographs not only showcase the beauty of the arctic but reflect his deep connection to its landscapes and inhabitants. Beyond capturing moments, Scott enjoys sharing his expertise, helping others enhance their photography skills and capturing the enchanting beauty of the northern lights.
Scott and Victoria first crossed paths during an Arctic expedition. They quickly discovered their mutual love for adventure and a shared passion for wildlife and photography. This serendipitous encounter sparked an enduring partnership and paved the way for their journey together.
Join Scott on our Arctic safaris and expeditions, where his expertise, passion and love for the region create unforgettable experiences that leave lasting impressions on all who travel with us.

MEET VICTORIA
Victoria is the woman behind Thornhill Expeditions — the person shaping much of the brand, storytelling, photography, client communication and guest experience behind the scenes.
A wildlife photographer with a lifelong love of animals and remote places, Victoria brings a creative eye to the business and a deep understanding of what makes an expedition feel truly special. She works closely with Scott to turn his decades of Arctic knowledge and local experience into private, carefully considered journeys for guests who want something far beyond a standard wildlife tour.
From the first enquiry to the final details before departure, Victoria helps guide the experience — answering questions, preparing guests, sharing the story of the Arctic, and ensuring each expedition feels personal, thoughtful and beautifully organised.
Scott leads the field operations and guiding in Nunavut, while Victoria focuses on the heart of the business behind the scenes: the imagery, the communication, the planning and the sense of care that defines Thornhill Expeditions.

Jocelyn — Local Inuit Guide
Born and raised in Arviat, Jocelyn brings a deep connection to her home in Nunavut. Guided by the traditional Inuit knowledge passed down from her father — himself a respected guide who loved spending time out on the land — Jocelyn carries forward a legacy of respect, skill, and understanding of the Arctic environment.
Whether tracking polar bears, spotting migrating caribou, or sharing stories around camp, Jocelyn offers guests a genuine insight into Inuit culture and life in the North.
With her warm spirit and lifelong love of the Arctic, Jocelyn ensures every expedition is not just a journey through wild places, but a meaningful encounter with the people and traditions that call them home.
